چکیده

Objectives: ACL reconstruction using hamstring autograft (HA) has been found to have a high re-tear rate in risk patients including those with Pivot shift of 2 or higher and generalized ligamentous laxity (GLL). Because this, the use lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) gained traction sports community. Several studies shown lower graft re-tears addition LET is felt by many be necessary when HA patients. However, no study compared + versus other types. The purpose our was compare surgical outcomes HA+LET vs an all-soft-tissue quadriceps (QA) without LET. We hypothesized that QA would lead similar rotational instability rates as HA+LET. Methods: This retrospective more GLL undergoing either HA, QA. In this study, defined Beighton score 4 more. Patients were included if they primary (HA group), (HA+LET group) (QA procedures than meniscal work. ACL Reconstruction Basics: Quadruple (4-Strand) Hamstring Autograft Harvest

Hamstring tendon autograft remains a popular graft choice for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Although there are a variety of autograft and allograft options available for ACL reconstruction, advantages of hamstring tendon autografts include decreased postoperative knee pain and an overall easier surgical recovery compared with bone patellar tendon bone autograft. In addition, ...

PURPOSE To evaluate the restoration of the flexor power and the correlation between the flexor power and functional performance tests (FPTs) after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction with hamstring autograft. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty-three men, who underwent ACL reconstruction with hamstring autograft, were evaluated using Lysholm, Subjective IKDC, Tegner activity score, isoki...

Strength and Regrowth of Hamstring Tendons After Hamstring Autograft Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Much controversy exists regarding the potential advantages and disadvantages of various graft choices for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Advocates of hamstring autografts often cite the limited apparent morbidity associated with semitendinosus or semitendinosus and gracilis harvest, including evidence that hamstring tendons may regenerate after harvest. In this article, we attempt t...
